The DWIH will hold a Science Slam – An exciting challenge for young scientists and science enthusiasts!
Here the youth will be challenged to prove their knowledge in just ten minutes. The winner will get an exctiting prize. First, one of the Heads of DWIH member organisations will give a speech, followed by scientific talks from two Indian and two German speakers. The young scientists will then begin with a 10-minute presentation of their research plus 5 minutes question and answer session from jury and audience. The audience and jury will collectively choose the two winners and award a prize.
The German House for Research and Innovation (GHRI)-New Delhi, is the result of increasing cooperation between German and Indian academic and scientific communities. The German Government, with the support of the Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt - AA) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung – BMBF), to intensify international cooperation, has embarked to set up the DWIH in five countries around the world.
Four of these have been established in Sao Paolo (Brazil), Moscow (Russia), New York (USA) and Tokyo (Japan). The fifth is being set up in New Delhi (India) as the “German House for Research and Innovation”.
The GHRI-New Delhi, will serve as a ‘one-stop shop’ for interested students, researchers and potential partner institutions, and disseminate information about higher education in Germany, research landscape and funding sources. The GHRI will be set up with a view to promote and facilitate bilateral projects in education, language, science, research and innovation.
Eligibility: Alumni or approved fellows of DWIH Member Organisation, who are registered for Ph.D. in a recognized Indian University or are Post-docs (up to 6 years of completion of Ph.D.)
