Ever heard about Ländlertanz before? What about the difference between Schuhplattler and Baaschlenkerer?

In case you do not have a clue what that could be, do not miss the unique opportunity to get familiar with those popular Bavarian ways to move your feet on the dance floor! Join the Bavarian Folk Dance workshop and Andrea, a folk dance expert, will teach you how to dance in the rhythm of the joyous Bavarian brass music.

You might think folk dance is out of date and not a matter of interest for young Germans anymore, but you are mistaken about that. Actually Schuhplattler and the likes are experiencing a great comeback not only in Bavaria!

Already popular among Germans and foreign tourists for ages, Oktoberfest in Munich has turned into a scenic event in the last years. Traditional music, dancing and dressing are actually becoming increasingly hip again in Germany, so you might very well find yourself at Oktoberfest one day, and with Andrea’s help you will be perfectly prepared to join the dancing crowd!
