Book Lovers' Program for Schools (BLPS) supported by C-TIDES - the incubation cell of IIT Madras, has developed a breakthrough revolutionary programme that influences children to read and improve their communication, comprehension, and creative thinking. What can be more absorbing for children than a mix of storytelling, drawing/colouring activities and reading sessions?

Join the fun with Shilpa Krishnan and Karthika Gopalakrishnan, who will use actions, songs and dance along with a few props to keep the session lively and interesting.

BLPS is a startup based out of IIT Madras which works with schools, in an attempt to get the kids of today to read via theatre-based activities, story-telling sessions, arts and crafts, etc.

On November 13, 2011, on the eve of Children's Day in India, the first model library for children and youth was launched in Chennai. The Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan and The Hippocampus Children's Company had instituted a partnership to create a model public library for children, which will enable younger generations to access knowledge and discover the pleasure of reading in an enjoyable environment.
