Germany is a pioneer in innovation, a world renowned technology leader and has the reputation of being excellent in engineering and science. The science and technology ecosystem in Germany closes the entire loop from ideas to innovation and finally commercialisation. The German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) has been successful in nurturing the various stakeholders of the innovation system by facilitating their interaction and cooperation. Universities, research institutions or innovative companies are supported in different ways which fosters and builds upon interdisciplinary cooperation.

Internationalization of science and research is a key factor to the solution of global challenges. Therefore Germany intends to strengthen research cooperation with global leaders and to exploit international innovation potentials.  Furthermore Germany seeks to intensify the international cooperation in education, research and development on a long term basis.

The BMBF pavilion showcases vocational training institutions, select institutions of higher education and large German scientific organizations together with industrial partners. Innovative and successful products that are the result of the cooperation between science and industry will be on display. Visitors can also gather information about the many different opportunities to study and do a research internship in Germany.
