On the occasion of shifting into its new spacious and centrally located premises, Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad organizes a 2 day long Hyderabad Street Fiesta.
On Saturday the 9th June, amongst the various activities taking place, we are happy to present a Maypole Dance, Readings by the Little Theatre, a Piano Concert by Daniel Gomez, the art exhibition, “Das Avataar”, by Lata Marur, the Drawing of GoBanjara Contest Prizes and a German Film Promenade. Additionally, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), will have a Science Desk.
The festivities will start for an exclusive crowd of close partners and friends of Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad at 16:30hrs, with dignitaries lighting the lamp, inaugurating the exhibition Das Avataar, and a Piano Concert by Daniel Gomez.
At 19:30hrs, a larger crowd will be welcome to enjoy the Maypole Dance, the German Film Promenade, a second Piano Performance by Daniel Gomez, Readings of German Authors by the Little Theatre, the exhibition “Das Avataar”, see if they are lucky at the GoBanjara Prize Drawing. These events will be coronated by the hoisting of the Indian and the German flag.

On Sunday 10 June 2012 the celebrations continue with Environment focused activities: We have a Batik workshop for children, an organic and vegan Cooking Demo with Nina Osswald, a Composting Session and a Seminar on Cities of Tomorrow. The activities are from 11:00 to 16:00hrs.
