Sound Reasons presents an evening of experimental sounds and electro-acoustic music featuring Ish Shehrawat (edGeCut / diFfuSed beats / Sound Reasons), Andi Teichmann (Teichmann Brothers) and Ignat Karmalito. The performance for the evening will have improvised electronic music and sounds from across a wide spectrum of experimental and ambient music with a focus on 'found sound' and 'the unheard'.

This live performance will be part of the opening of Sarai Reader 09: 'The Exhibition', which is a forthcoming contemporary art exhibition (18 August, 2012 – 15 April, 2013) at the Devi Art Foundation, Gurgaon, curated by the Raqs Media Collective. The performance space will be emtpy on 18 August and the contents of the exhibition will be put up during the months to follow.

Sarai Reader 09: 'The Exhibition' is a collaboration between Devi Art Foundation and the Sarai Programme at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (Delhi). Involving around 100 artists, practitioners and researchers invited through an open call, the exhibition will take the form of a series of unfolding proposals and episodes that gather incrementally to produce a body of work. Unfolding over nine months, Sarai Reader 09: 'The Exhibition' will not only initiate and bring new works to the public but also generate a desire for an engaging vocabulary of, and ways of practicing and thinking about, art.
