Home / Partners / Deutsche Bank in India
Fuel for thought: The Solar Impulse aircraft powered by Deutsche Bank. Headquartered in heritage: The Deutsche Bank House, an iconic building, which houses the Bank’s India headquarters. Protecting those who protect us: The GreenKarbon biodiversity campaign by Deutsche Bank and Sanctuary Asia. From sanitation to salvation: The Triratna Prerana Mandal, a community-based project in Mumbai that won Deutsche Bank’s Urban Age award.

The Deutsche Bank pavilion aims to bring alive our ‘passion to perform’ attitude – an attitude that goes beyond business. As a responsible corporate citizen, we’re committed to making meaningful contributions to the welfare of the societies in which we operate. In India, we do this through corporate social responsibility initiatives that are spread across education, corporate volunteering, and more recently, sustainability.

As part of the Indo-German Urban Mela, we aim to further fuel this passion to perform by showcasing real, on-going ideas and innovations in sustainable urban living with the hope to inspire. A mix of Deutsche Bank supported projects as well as guest projects by change makers from across the world include the Solar Impulse Project – a solar powered aircraft; the GreenKarbon Initiative - a unique biodiversity campaign; and Windowfarms – an indoor farming system.

We’ve also lined up interactive pieces like the Dream:in Tree onto whose branches you can tie your idea of a dream-city. And the GreenKarbon Photography contest, which encourages you to become a part of the climate change solution.

We hope our pavilion leaves you with the feeling that a better future is not just wishful thinking, but a reality that’s in the making.
