Marketing cooperation between 17 German travel and tourism related organizations with various activities. Amongst them are a new edition of the Sales Guide Germany especially edited for the Indian Market, the execution of a Microsite for the Indian Market and the production of a film featuring Germany as a travel destination. The IndiaPool will execute various marketing and advertising activities through Indian tour operators to advertise Germany as a travel destination. In 2012 the DZT IndiaPool will organise three marketing weeks in India. A delegation constisting of the IndiaPool member organisations will travel to India to promote Germany as a travel destination and interact with specialised media representatives.
Presentations and workshops for Indian travel agents and travel organisations will take place.

Following the motto "WE HAVE TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BETTER …, …it makes us understand one another better, trust each other more, and live together more peacefully.", the 2m tall Buddy Bears promote tolerance and mutual understanding among different nations, cultures and religion.

It epitomizes, to this day, various kinds of artificial barriers, literal or otherwise, separating people around the globe. Here is a many-sided recollection of how people from both sides viewed the monumental fallacy of the Berlin Wall and its eventual fall and disappearance with all its drama, euphoria and nostalgia. The festival also provides an insight into how some of the most remarkable filmmakers from East Germany viewed and portrayed their own people and society amidst considerable constraints on their creative freedom.

When Germany’s Bayern Munich played against Team India in a friendly football match on January 10, nearly 1,000 students from 14 of Delhi’s Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) were present to witness the moment.
The tickets for these students were provided by the German Embassy New Delhi, with the support of Audi, the organisers of this Football Summit, as part of the Year of Germany in India, titled ‘Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities’.

The Yamuna.Elbe Project, an art and outreach initiative in the framework of the on-going year of Germany in India program, “Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities” opened to a tender, appreciative response from citizens, artists, environmental activists and curators involved in public art projects alike. The occasion was marked by the presence of the Chief Secretary of the Government on Delhi, Mr P.K Tripathi, Regional Director South Asia, Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi- Heiko Sievers, curators Ravi Agarwal and Till Krause, the Secretary of State Culture, City of Hamburg, Dr. Hill and the contributing artists. Culminating in the lighting of lamps afloat a vessel filled with water from the river, this project has been inaugurated and holds marvellous works of art, as well as a series of other musical and active events such as eco walks, environmental conferences, school workshops and debates put together along the banks of the historic river.
