The Indo-German Urban Mela was at the core of the year of celebrations bettween the two countries, "Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities." Conceptualised by internationally renowned German artist Markus Heinsdorff, the pavilions incorporated the best of German and Indian innovation and design. Over the 10 days, the pavilions hosted interactive presentations by German corporations and organisations on topics and solutions related to "StadtRaume - City Spaces".

Beginning the gig with their trademark Roadies theme-song 'Manmani', the band went on to interact with the crowd and render other popular numbers like Sadho Re, Aahatein and Ranjhan Yaar Di.

The YMCA College of Physical Education, Nandanam this weekend was abuzz with Chennaiites from all across the city flocking the venue for the opening weekend of the much-awaited Indo-German Urban Mela. With its opening on August 24th, 2012, the Urban Mela has seen over 22,000 visitors already.
